This leading contracting company supplies construction and engineering services to a wide range of clients across KSA. Their clients include government organisations, oil& gas companies and multinational development organisations. They employ in excess of 4,000 staff and are part of a well know family group.
They are seeking to add a key member of staff to the Quality Assurance team; a Quality Control Manager. Although the head office is based in Jeddah your role will involve travel across the Kingdom to all the construction sites.
The QC Manager plays a pivotal role between the Quality department and engineering, drawing, purchasing, production and field services.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Examining all information and instructions received from within the company and customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and incorporate requirements into company documents. Maintaining liaison with customers, customers inspectors, suppliers, sub-contractors, inspection representatives, and any other regulatory body pursuant to the maintenance of quality standards, programs or requirements; providing advice/consultation. Arranging all related to testing agencies but not limited to civil, chemical, mechanical, electrical, metallurgical, NDT and hydrostatic tests. Arranging to qualify and obtaining all the necessary paperwork for welders, welding operator, welding procedure qualification records as required. Performing all duties of quality control inspection including material, dimensional, welding, NDT inspections accepting or rejecting questionable or unsatisfactory conditions in materials or workmanship or referring to higher authority for decision making. Maintaining company standards of quality. Advising and assisting the QC Staff and others in the interpretation and application of standards, codes, and specifications. Maintaining close contract and cooperating with production supervision and others in obtaining production accuracy and quality of work. Maintaining QC Inspection and QA Procedures and equipment at satisfactory level and good working order. Keeping informed of current and anticipated work activities and planning for inspection and QA, QC work accordingly. Compiling data recording information and preparing and issuing reports as directed or considered necessary or desirable. Advising and assisting in the selection training, appraising and development of NDT inspection, QA, QC personnel and methods and procedures. Planning, organizing, coordinating and directing inspection, NDT, QA, QC activities towards company objectives of Quality Assurance and Quality Control. Assisting in the design of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other pressure retaining components in accordance with the codes and provincial regulations. Control all Audit Report. Verification by means of a planned Audit schedule that the requirements set in the Quality Plan is met Person specifications University degree or equivalent and a total of 7 years inspection experience or a high school diploma with a total of 10 years inspection experience. As minimum, 5 years directly relating to supervision of construction activities in the Contract Scope of WORK (Eg. Oil, gas and petrochemical projects, Infrastructure, communication). The role will involve regular travel across the Kingdom to all the locations of the various construction sites. Bi-lingual Arabic/English is essential.
