This leading contracting company supplies construction and engineering services to a wide range of clients across KSA. Their clients include government organisations, oil& gas companies and multinational development organisations. They employ in excess of 4,000 staff and are part of a well know Saudi family group.
They are seeking to add a key member of staff to the team; the Material/ Maintenance Plant and Vehicles Manager is a high profile role reporting directly to the GM and providing operational leadership for this key division.
The objectives for the role include;
Effective people management Business & people strategies - work assignment planning time management & training capabilities.. Ability to design & measure workshop staff KPI & productivity levels. Experience in Japanese 5s Kaizen Lean or similar productivity scheme is highly preferred Periodical accurate reporting to HO & implement feedback recommendations Spare parts inventory management & custody of workshop assets To succeed in this role you will need experience in serving multi construction or similar projects and proven ability to implement strategies to cope with volume and complexity of the role Tangible contribution in reducing equipment down time and achieve target utilization of the fleet. Real time tracking of equipment utilization hours to maximize returns and optimal use of same among projects. Real time tracking of rented equipment utilization to achieve cost savings and optimal use of equipment among projects.
You will need
BSc in mechanical engineering or equivalent - MBA in business administration will be a plus point. (with 03year experience as AGM or similar profit center managerial capacity) 05 years Experience in managing a profit center. Profit center planning Staff time management Job repair/service management in construction heavy equipment of all major brands. Should definitely have implementation experience in productivity schemes. Japanese-5s Champion or similar. Autonomous maintenance Fail-safeing techniques (Poka-Yoke or other productivity scheme experience) should be able to go beyond traditional preventive maintenance Hands on experience in work shop modules of an ERP system.. Operational experience in a construction environment will be an added value.
